Gracey Curette Set – 7-Piece provides a coordinated selection of periodontal instruments for subgingival scaling, root planing, supragingival deposit removal, periodontal assessment, and caries exploration. Included instruments are listed separately: 1) Gracey Curette 1/2 with gray handle for anterior teeth; 2) Gracey Curette 5/6 with yellow handle for anterior teeth and premolars; 3) Gracey Curette 7/8 with green handle for facial/buccal and lingual/oral surfaces of posterior teeth; 4) Gracey Curette 11/12 with red handle for mesial surfaces of posterior teeth; 5) Gracey Curette 13/14 with blue handle for distal surfaces of posterior teeth; 6) Jaquette Scaler with dual cutting edges for removing supragingival calculus and deposits; and 7) Double-Sided Periodontal Probe/Explorer for periodontal probing, pocket assessment, and caries detection. The instruments are manufactured from durable AISI 420 stainless steel and fitted with ergonomic silicone handles designed to withstand repeated autoclaving.
The instruments are reusable and designed to withstand a large number of autoclave sterilization cycles when properly maintained.
Recommended Sterilization Procedure:
1. Thoroughly clean the instruments before sterilization. Do not use metal brushes, as they may damage the instruments’ surfaces.
2. Immerse the instruments in an appropriate sterilizing solution according to the manufacturer’s instructions. After soaking, rinse them thoroughly with running water and dry them completely.
3. Sterilize the instruments in an autoclave at 134°C in accordance with standard sterilization protocols.
